just as our hearts let got
and we take one last look at each other
just as our words faded
and we realizes that this is the end
each knowing that its for the best
but that knowledge
not compensating for the hurt
or the tears that fall from our eyes
we each reach with fingers
for the photograph of our past
the only reminder of what was
the only evidences of us
the frame falls to the ground
shattered glass spills
we both look down in sorrow
each hurting but slowly healing
eyes filled with the years spent
hesitate before raising
each shinning with the reflection
of what once was but now gone
neither one sure of the future
but believing in a better life
the photograph forgotten as it lays
just as our memories will be too one day

The letting go of someone... sometimes it's better not to have those reminders isn't it! Really like where you took this.
(L1 'got' should be 'go')

This is very good. I really like the last stanza. The whole poem is full of emotion and I can really feel and relate to the feeling of pain in your words.
