Heartbeat or heartbreak…
Not much of a difference in my life…
No matter what it’s just an ache…
A little more strife…
A friend, a crush, or love…
Not much separates them tonight…
I try to rise above,
But the past holds on to me tight
Friendly gesture or obviously into you…
Who knows? Does anybody care?
These signals are so easy to misconstrue…
Will it matter to them if I’m not there?
