picking herself up from the asphalt,
she reaches for the glimmers of hope
that shine neon beneath the film of
shattered yesterdays.
but she falls upwards and lands amongst
the stars and stripes; tangled in her torn
heart strings.

The picture reminds me of a campaign we had running to stop binge drinking. A lot of it was pictures like this with a girl passed out on the side walk and the street lights smudged into neon streaks

Nice and neatly done. I like the title and in fact I think you could tie in the background, using subtle reds and blues and whites which'd be cool. Thanks for your entry

awww beautiful, so heartwrenching but kind of reminds me of myself, striving for something and making the best of a bad job sometimes.
