Hungry questions provoke answers
Trying to get desired reply
Harsh silence coldly greets
A solitude, held sigh.
Words caught in limbo
Like an empty hope
They'll fall apart with scrutiny
They wash away with soap
Imperfection plagues uncertainties
With self-inflicted hate
Heed no attention
Until it's too late
Gleams of white
Held firmly into place
A facade to hide
The slowly shattering face
Like delicate porcelain
A hammer causes cracks
Heads shake and ignore
Before all that's seen is backs
Until one day there are no words
No uncertainties, no shame
There is no life there anymore
And you're the one to blame.
Author notes
Just a little poem jotted down in 5 minutes, just about the ripple effect cause by others actions. Just one word can break a person down. Be careful what you say.
