The road has been so cold
I’ve traveled so far.
At times I don’t think I’ll ever know,
only emptiness in every bar.
I need you beside me,
to love and guide me.
Open my heart so that I might feel,
show me that love can be real.
So many lies,
too many playing a game.
He said, she said,
in the end no one willing to take the blame.
I want you to show me love that is real,
Let me entrust you with my battered heart
so that it might begin to heal.
Let us together find the paths that love gave a start.
