You found my blowing yes
inside your knotty hollow,
bark, baring deeper, planted gift;
love left loose
to nested circle, opened slowly.
Roll inside my shimmered hands,
climbing cradled cup,
rock, like eyes of feathered freedom,
where just last summer
another bird escaped to early wing;
the softest rhythm dripping weather,
she did sing when autumn raked in work, and wonder.
Her words were rippled, printed skin,
west wind in quest of summer alibis,
on late blue nights when leaves were melting.
I do run,
still, for you to stop
and hug my burly beast of waning wisdom;
soul, so grounded,
when sap falls south
through dryer mouth of carpet's fantasy;
root and membrane,
searching meadow for next years foliage.

I think, Rich, the trees grow green with envy just so they can sigh through the whispers of your poetry.
Sensual meldings and molting of season....maybe that of people and love, too, as they slip through the softer grasp of summer into the wilder warnings of fall.... and I do remember the fall into "rippled words of summer alibis on late blue nights when leaves were melting." Such sweet promises.
The echoing laughter of leaves to toes in a crackling carpet yet give way to the heart's pulse to wings and warmer things. Yes.
