My Best Friend
Two souls searching for each other,
Meeting eye to eye at a very young tender age,
Knowing in our hearts,
We were to be best friends and not part,
Such memories come flooding back,
To when we were only kids,
Knowing we could trust one another,
With our lives and remembering everything,
You being there for me always having a shoulder,
Never complaining… always there…
We shared everything, our thoughts…
Our laughs… our cries… our hurt,
Then as we became older into adulthood,
We knew we had always loved each other,
Our two souls crying out to become one,
We became man and wife,
I could never have asked for a better best friend,
You always told me I could come to you,
And always stuck by that as did I with you,
I believe you and I were always meant to be,
To guide and love each other throughout our lives,
For all eternity.
