On a cool but sunny winter's day in December,
one day after a good snowstorm.
There sitting upon the front porch,
a beautiful young girl, with curls of golden hair.
Smiling a happy face,
as her father pulls into the driveway,
with a christmas tree, tied to the roof of his car.
The father calls to Julianna, (that's the young girl).
"Come help bring in some groceries please?"
But to her surprise there was only one bag
filled with her favorite food, hot chocolate and marshmallows.
After Julianna brought the bag into the kitchen,
she ran into her bedroom and took her favorite
teddy bear outside, so her bear she named Rosco,
could watch, as Julianna built a snowman.
Julianna loves, living in the country,
there are plenty of squirrels and rabbits,
hopping and running all around in her yard.
Julianna throws them pieces of popcorn
and crumbled sugar cookies.
Now back in her bedroom,
Julianna listens to Alvin and the Chipmunks
sing her favorite christmas songs,
of course she sings along.
Momma yells to Julianna, "get ready for bed,
I'll be coming up to tuck you in."
Another wonderful day has come to an end
and Julianna neatly puts her things,
where they belong.
Mama comes into the room
and tucks the sheet into the side of the bed.
With a soft kiss to Julianna's forehead
her mother says, "good night, sleep tight,
my little angel."
