Why can't you see
you're the reason I'm blue
Why can't it be me
whose as happy as you?
Without all the lies
and fake smiles to add
I see it clearly in your eyes
that's what makes me sad
Everyone has lied to me
said I'd be safe and sound
But they don't know what it's like to be
lost and with no chance to be found
A person left alone to drown
in my own sorrow
Too many days I frown
can't seem to see tomorrow
You've given me the rope
so I'll hang whose wrong
For me there was never hope
just a life too long

I like the hole thing all together as it is so i think it would be find as is.^^

Very sad, but lies do hurt in more ways than emotional pain. I fell victim to lies before, so I know how realistic the pain that inflames your insides can be.
Back to the poem: This poem bears alot of deepset emotion and follows a steady, unforced rhyming scheme.
