A cold winter day
embodies my heart
The warmth went away
when we did part
The ground is so hard
as my day without you
I tenderly guard
a rose that I grew
Once it did thrive
like you and I
Now barely alive
in memory I cry
Of beauty that was
the love that we shared
It died because
you no longer cared
The sunshine came back
though nobody knows
Up through a crack
my perrenial rose
A flower once red
now looks so blue
Alone in its bed
I don't have you

Beautifully sad!
But I love it, and I can relate to it because I've felt like this myself in the past.
