cool shades flicker
off on off on
comfy couch for one, fitting two
sleep laden eyes, a second's twitching glances
murmured words off a television screen
whole stories told
between whimpers and shifting
a tightened embraced
his force cleanses me
feeling words tighten with each second
and then
released with a sign
no words, no mention, no notice
i stare
i dare to say i stare
at his slumbering face
my love, as masculine as his is to be
he is what tenderness means to me
closed eyed, my lover embraces me at night
with his sleeping actions
whispering
how much he loves me
with his unwilling movements
his heart moves to speak to mine
unintended
Author notes
this is about...me and boyfriend...he holds me sometimes, while he is asleep. he holds me tighter and tighter, grabs my hand and pulls it close to him, or moves so he can hold me closer. he never remembers doing any of this when he wakes up. but everytime he does, i feel how much he loves me just pulse through me. he tells me he loves me. with no words at all. but i do feel i have not completely captured how it feels.....so tell me what you think honestly please.

Intensely beautiful!
Wow!! you're one fortunate person.
To have a relationship like that
where love is spoken subconsciously.
What I took from your poem is that
you felt a deep sense of security and
love in his unpretentious actions.
The fact that he did it in his sleep
spoke much deeper than maybe anything
he could utter audibly. I like it
Thanks for entering and best wishes.
