The Long Walk Home is eerily quiet these days.
Rain carries feathers of the duck persuasion
down the drains and out of memory...
I sweep the leaves from underneath my sheets
and it's good for a laugh,
but I tell you, that's all.
Ironically enough, a familiar Dairy Farm
has sprouted business just down the way.
I can smell the cheese from here
and although none of it matches my current decor
the loneliness as of late
dares to paint the town Orange.
And if this Eatery is anything like I recall
then perhaps the Kitchen(s) in the third house might find
that it welcomes the stink of it's needs.
