Love is adagio,
slow-paced and delicate.
It crescendos from the depths of a soul
that has never met anything of its kind.
It grabs us by surprise.
It twists and turns through every melody
of our being.
It captures every harmony
we ever crossed paths with.
With delicate strings, bowed to pitches
that bring sadness into our hearts
and happiness into our ears,
love makes us wonder.
Love makes us travel to places
and see things we never thought
could be possible;
true happiness.
Love quivers our disposition;
it brings us to our knees
in hopes to find something
that can explain our meaning.
Love is indescribable.
Love cries in the night
through voices of the most
angelic of beings.
Love plays a tune all of its own.
Love whispers in our ears
the softest words we thought
were ever possible to hear.
Love whispers lullabies.
And when love stops us in our tracks
we think that it has put the coldest
hand upon our breast.
Love stops our breathing.
Love sings.
Love holds hands.
Love cries.
Love laughs.
Love warms.
Love hurts.
Love is something that changes
with every person.

I'm fragile and strong, the best of both worlds. I have trouble trusting and loving, but I can be the best friend a person will have.

I love the way your poem moves with music. The first stanza is the strongest, for me. But I like the line 'love plays a tune all of its own' as well. Very nice.
