Her Attic

Missing image
Tear residue
clawing at her sleep,
heart pounds the cadence
from sorrow’s steady beat.

Craving’s attic,
her haven,
hands from lost dreams
beckoning as a satyr’s spell,

Slipping into a netherworld
where she can taste taboo’s fire,
watching for Adonis phantom
always eluding her passions.

Carrying its flame in her eyes,
waiting
for love’s candleholder
to blaze her darkness.

The darkness consumes the reader. The prompt is complimented by this work. Third stanza is the best of all. The hands of lost dreams seeking satry's spell. Great job.Well deserving of Gold
