The Unholy

Missing image

To run naked in the moonlight,
then cast a special charm
Dancing with moths and butterflies,
so we are not alarmed

Spinning a web of sorcery,
that has left them telling tales
Conjuring up the unholy dead,
the new dark Prince of Wales

She beckons him to join her there,
in the valley of the dead
Together to rule the underworld,
until the sands run red

They’ll crucify all earthly good,
choke our hope and faith
Blotting out the father and son,
strangling the holy wraith

Ushering in a brand new creed,
with vengeance in the lead
Scorching the souls of all mankind,
hate is what we’ll bleed

When they’ve brought home pain,
and misery is what we drink
We’ll kneel and pray their sacred words,
for life is now extinct

The sky of black will rain the cries,
of all who’ve lost their life
And she’ll be crowned before hordes,
the dark lord’s vile wife

On that day the earth will shake,
with fulfillment her dreams
For dread will rule the hearts of man,
she will reign supreme

A very brilliant write my friend, with two stories I am sure, the picture prompt and the other one that we in the UK will recognise - or perhaps I am wrong. A very enjoyable flowing read. Sheila

    Ahh! We compete once again

I wish you the best, my friend. The fantasy, dark and the supernatural draw us together. I like what you do with images in your words. You do have a storytelling flair in rhyme. May the better witch win!
