I've felt the wind blowing off the sea,
Dawn's rainbow mist showering me in icy diamonds.
Vibrant horizons stay like Nature's first green,
Fleeting.
I've felt the sorrow the silence held,
Heard the absence of hope's gale, seemingly never to return,
Watched as the sun's rays turned dark and grey,
Dismal and foreboding.
But like a gem displays the light
And golden hues consist the sky of morning,
Magnified and waxing is the gift of the sea at cockcrow:
Hope; the gift it brings to me.
