Words uttered
{But never heard}
All you do is spout nonsense
About love
And intimacy
Yet I contribute nothing
To these conversations
{I'm a romantic mute}
The seconds left
Between your desolate words
Are taken up by the sound
Of you inhaling
Preparing for another "conversation"
But doesn't a proper conversation
Require two people ?
For we are not communicating
We're merely filling the empty air
With empty words.
Author notes
Here was the prompt: Constantly talking isn't necessarily communicating.
Idk if I like this or not. There's just something about it I don't favor. But whatevs. I'll enter it anyways !

Deep
how sad when two people are
in relationship but share no
commonalities. So many couples
exist in this voidless abyss of
pretense until life erupts their little
habitate of delusion. A gripping write
that cause contemplation. Nicely done.
Thanks for entering my contest.
Best wishes
