Imagine if you will, a view from outerspace,
The Earth, a mere round ball of blue and green,
The clouds that surround it, intricately placed,
A sight that very few have ever seen.
We zoom in enough to grasp the contours of the land,
The different shades that show the depths of sea,
A little closer and we notice the mark that we, as man,
Have made upon the globe that we call 'free'.
From way above, up here,
The fellowship is clear,
People in the millions day by day,
Go about their lives,
Children, husbands, wives,
Walking, running, go to work and play.
A little closer still,
We'll pick out a quiet hill,
Where lovers go for picnics in romance,
Daisie's here and there,
Insects flying everywhere,
The small and industrious army ants.
Compare, if you will the size of an ant,
To the size of either you or me,
Then think furthermore, the green of a plant,
To the contrasting blue of the sea.
If that isn't enough to beguile your mind,
Simply look upon and consider the stars tonight,
The vastness of space, I think you will find,
Complete with those balls burning bright...
Compared to the speck-like-ness we have in the picture,
It's nature, I believe, at it's best,
This was just a minor thought, no wonder we seek scripture,
When trying to grasp the meaning of the rest.
Author notes
My apologies, I shall have to work on this one. I can't seem to concentrate AT ALL tonight.. nevertheless, I tried.

It's amazing isn't it, what a little perspective can do. I love those videos that start with a shot from outer space and zoom into some detail down on earth. This world is amazing indeed.
Grasping the meaning can be a life-long pursuit. Thanks for your thoughts.
