Don't Forget It

I've forgotten how to cry,
it's been so long since last
Too much has gone awry,
and tears are in the past

I've forgotten how to bleed,
even if my skin splits
Has my body stopped working,
is my system on the fritz?

I've forgotten how to laugh,
to let out a little 'Ha'
My life has been cut in half,
like my heart has been sawed

I've forgotten how to smile,
how to make myself even care
Losing that smile,
was like loosing my air

I've forgotten joy,
I've forgotten sadness
I've forgotten- Hey!
I found me madness

A little bit of madness evens everything out,
don't forget it

  • They say sadness is the most sensible emotion...And I'd say that you wrote it with every color of the rainbow!

    I've forgotten how to laugh
    I've forgotten how to smile

I've nearly forgotten how to do these things myself. And I agree a little bit of madness does even everything out. Nicely written

    Ahha! I love this;
    "I've forgotten how to bleed,
    even if my skin splits
    Has my body stopped working,
is my system on the fritz?"
    Fritz I love that word!
This was a very good poem!!

    "Losing that smile,
    was like loosing my air"
'Losing that smile' went a little bit out of the rhythm & flow of the poem, but-hey... who am I to be critical? Look at my poems! Every line's rhythm is all screwed up! haha.
Yeah, but I agree with Erin- I like that stanza too

    & This is really amazing:
    "I've forgotten joy,
    I've forgotten sadness
    I've forgotten- Hey!
    I found me madness"

I've forgotten; HEY! I found me Madness!
    OMG that's brilliant.
    haha.

"My life has been cut in half,
like my heart has been sawed"
Life cut in half? You're not middle aged, SILLY!
I'm just kidding, I love that line.
OMG what if you died when you were 28?! Then you're life literally, [not metaphorically], be cut in half!
    Ahhh that'd be creepy!
My wasn't sawed... but Cupid shot it a million times & punctured it... ouch!

    "I've forgotten how to bleed,
    even if my skin splits"
Well then- you should totally be in the war! Like for reals, if you don't bleed... you don't really die of blood losss... OMG DONATE BLOOD!
Or let a Vampire drink some. They gotta live too.

    lalalala

    "I've forgotten how to laugh,
to let out a little 'Ha' "
Now thats depressing. No laughing? You poor child

I have a lot of time on my hands.
    Blah.
    What have I missed?
Ehhh... Hey, I'mma write more to this! It'll be my little version MAWHAHAHAA

    "I've forgotten how to smile,
how to make myself even care
    Everything sucks, even my style,
& So does my staticy hair.
I look at my hands & see something vile,
so I tend to my nails with an old file.
OMG I'm bleeding, it is quite a scare!
    I'll die, man, I SWEAR!
HAhah its not like you people even care.
But some do, but of course- this is quite RARE!
I look around & see nobody there."

Haha well that was entertaining & took up a useless 3 minutes of my life

    Well, good day.
It was fun writing this comment.
