of average size and average weight.
If you saw him, you'd be hard pressed
to recall his face.
But that is just his outer guise.
In truth a monster breathes inside.
Deranged and sick but what frightens most,
this predator, this cyber ghost,
haunts the net for tender prey.
He strives to take innocence away.
Perhaps he has children of his own.
A consummate family man when he's at home.
The change occurs when he's alone
sitting before his computer screen.
Because a monster awakens destroying lives,
wreaking havoc where he's been.
His conversations at best are sexually charged;
our children are being scarred.
We must hunt this predator with our lives.
Cut this cyber monster down to size.
He's a coward hiding in a car, or room.
Time for him to be consumed
stuck in prison for a long, long time.
Oh he can make new friends inside,
though innocent they may not be.
However this is a guarantee,
he'll never be the same again.
His turn to feel defiled, to feel the pain,
of being sullied by someone elses dirty deeds.
Hunted by day, haunted by night.
All this we must do because it is right.
If but one child's innocence is saved,
it's worth waging war against the depraved.

Holy WOW!
I am in awe of this write......I can see the picture you describe so perfectly.....a MONSTER!
***Perhaps he has children of his own.
A consummate family man when he's at home.
The change occurs when he's alone
sitting before his computer screen.***I stand in ovation of this write.....I can not see who wrote this, as this is an anonymous contest.....but I assure you, your words are full of power and knowledge of what lies behind the monitor we all stare at hours at a time -
So many faces of kindness.....so many words spoken which draw us in.....so many feelings they dish out as though they were God himself.........and the Monster hooks his captive with words of sodomy -
I applaud you for coming out to support this contest.....I have nothing to critique here....only praise for your strength of knowledge you possess ~
Your score shall be sent to your Host.....may your Higher Power bless you & keep you,

A chillingly true poem about the dangers of children using the internet! Great words of awareness. Written brilliantly.
