why do you do this to yourself?
i only wish i knew how to help
everything i try to do for you
goes right back in my face
makes me feel like a disgrace
i wish i hadnt ever caused you pain
but still you wont give me the blame
the blame i deserve to always own
to save you from me, ive turned my heart into stone
youll never realize you deserve better than me
but ive always known what you could be
and i refuse to ruin that for you
its something ill never do

Sometimes there is no helping someone who will not help themselves and though you may have made mistakes, it's not your job to say sorry forever, sometimes there has to be a little giving on the other side.
