You Cannot Die
Foolish mortals hear me now and learn e're it's too late.
You must grasp tight the reins of life and ride to meet your fate.
You lie in pastures green or wander aimless; ancient halls.
Get up upon the battle steed, ride hard and take your falls.
There is no other side for those who live not in this life.
Reward is passed by count of scars hard won in bloody strife.
Sure entrance granted to those fallen in the heat of battle,
No Valhalla waits for those who mill like placid cattle.
Don't dream of things you long to do or whisper might have beens.
Grasp tight the brush that paints your life and sketch your brightest scenes.
Let it be said when you go on, "For him the angels cried."
Not, "He was just barnyard pet who lived not. Nothing died."

This was a nicely written piece but it was difficult to read with the background and the white print. It just blended in too much and for words like yours it would be best if they stood out more from the background.
Great job! -
