Fantastic, I say, is the stench of the skunk,
Lingering in the air it makes me quite drunk.
Oily and greasy is the spray beneath the tail.
When I find it, it’s like discovering the Holy Grail.
Enticing as the sweetest perfume beneath my nose,
Rewarding my senses more than the beautiful rose.
Oh, reeking, odiferous mustelid I do adore you,
For no one bothers me, they all proclaim peeew!
Takes a little dab here and a dab there to do the trick.
Hurries them off screaming and makes them all sick.
Even my hair is smoothed down like a black oil slick.
Skipping across the fields I purposely search you out,
Knowing well that if bothered, your gland will spout,
Utterly delicious, putrid scents from the Gods above.
Now I’m sure there are woman who share this love,
Know that my love for the skunk they fall short of.

LMAO!!! The picture is just so adorable and the acrostic is perfect!!! The imagery may be a bit too vivid though.

This is a wonderful take on the prompt dear. Good luck with the contest.
