I touched your face through a veil
With windy seas and stormy skies
As we walked along the shore
And I couldn't believe my eyes
You looked so beautiful standing there
As rain clouds danced about and more
Then you took me by the hand
And we ran along the shore
Leaving footprints in the sand
And you asked me once again
Will there be blue skies and sunshine
And I said after the rain
Sunshine after the rain
Then you whispered my name
I asked you why you loved me
And you whispered me your reply
Love is like the raindrops
That often fall from open skies
And for every storm that follows
The sun will shine again
Like my love for you forever
Just like sunshine after the rain
I now know why we're together
It's a love that will last forever
Just like sunshine after the rain
And you asked me once again
Will there be blue skies and sunshine
And I said after the rain
Sunshine after the rain
Then you whispered my name X 2

Beautiful
Beautifully written, lyrical and atmospheric. Good use of repetition. I especially like the words in the 5th verse "Love is like the raindrops that often fall from open skies, And for every storm that follows, the sun will shine again". I love the first line that sets the scene for the whole poem.
