Nothing's good the world's turned bad
Words once spoken just drives you mad
Thoughts of tomorrow simply fly away
Turn your back on what I have to say
You gave the best you made the grade
But now you want proof before it fades
We fought so hard to get this far
But words aren't enough to hide the scars
And when there's nothing left to lose
In the dead of night it's how we choose
Your constant chatter won't let me sleep
Ask me again tomorrow or even next week
Words that rattle like wind on window panes
Keep me awake when I'm feeling drained
I've given you more than I have to give
And I only have one life to live
Now you tell me over and over again
What's the point of love without a refrain
And no matter what I say it's wrong
I'd rather sleep than just tag along
And when there's nothing left to lose
In the dead of night it's how we choose
Your constant chatter won't let me sleep
Ask me again tomorrow or even next week
And when there's nothing left to lose
In the dead of night it's how we choose
Your constant chatter is payment due...

well done
this was a very realistic view of
relationships. I could easily see myself
in that picture you painted. Relationships
are never easy. Communication is such an
important part of intimacy, yet it's lacking
in most relationships. I enjoyed this poem.
Nice work and thanks for entering
