Weird thoughts stuck in my head,
this feeling, I recognize,
this feeling I dread.
Known you for so long,
you don't need to say
what's wrong.
I feel it, just like you,
I know you're being led
away from me,
it's sad and I don't feel easy.
Never would have believed this,
so in love when we wed.
So pure and true,
you were me and I was you.
Weird thoughts stuck in my head,
I know the truth,
I heard it in what wasn't said.
For this moment
we still share our bed,
but who knows what
lays ahead.
I feel the future
and I'm full of dread.
I hear the truth in the
things left unsaid.

Echoes
I hear echoes in the darkness that
reverberate within the hollow walls
of a distant land. This is the feeling
I get from this piece. Eventhough it seems
as tho words unsaid are somehow understood.
An invisable gulf enshrouds the relationship.
Allowing it to drift like the waves of the sea,
into any direction. I believe that's one of
the ways relationships between men and women
take an unfortunate turn. with one or the other
or even both not understanding what went wrong.
I really enjoyed this piece. It added another
dimension to the contest. Thank you for your
thought provoking entry
