LIGHT OF ORION

Look up that way— do you see what I see?
There in the far eastern sky?
Or is it a falling star you perceived,
or a comet blasting by?
Maybe you thought t'was your eyes that deceived,
sure man had taught you no lies.
Certain of man's words, you ran and believed,
"Man's law won't cause me to die."
There are those brilliant clouds now spreading west.
Do you hear names clarified
and see angels taking up all His best,
those tested and purified?
By Light many run, falling right and left:
Orion intensified.
I dreamed I then moved upon air, I guessed,
soon coming to Jesus' side.
You would not hear God's handmaiden, O man,
instead you deemed her a fake:
His Truth spoken fit not your greedy plan,
sure your life God would not take. . .
you falsely claimed to be of Jesus clan.
Now you know, when it's too late,
God's Law stands always: man's should have been banned.
Then you cursed, "It's not God's date!"
Yea, 'tis but only a space ship's bright light,
though judgment is at hand still:
just days to turn and join God's holy fight,
to walk as one Spirit-filled,
thus obey God's Law and, as Christ, do right.
Once more she recites God's will,
"Repent, love and obey with all your might
to avoid evil's death chill."

"Man's law won't cause me to die." That was my favorite line in the poem. After I read this I thought about it and read it again. You have strong beliefs that you are able to write about with passion, clarity, and vivid imagry. Your work shows that you take your time and you are thoughtful with every well placed word.Great job, and you deserve every gold that you won. Thanks!

Bravo!
of that Gold! Interesting that you chose to write about His signs also! Ah...if only man would learn to trust in Him & His Word & laws & not the commands & traditions of men! We can only continue to plant seeds as He does the watering until the Second Coming! I love the way you end this:
Yea, 'tis but only a space ship's bright light,
though judgment is at hand still:
just days to turn and join God's holy fight,
to walk as one Spirit-filled,
thus obey God's Law and, as [The] Christ, do right.
Once more she recites God's will,
"Repent, love and obey with all your might
to avoid evil's death chill.["]
I'm always doing my best to remind people of the way The Christ walked & that as disciples we are to walk 'exactly' as He did. Unfortunately because of improper instruction in the Word, people don't really know The Christ or about the life He led & how we are to walk in His footsteps! All I can do is to do my best to be an example of what He's given me to understand & to do His will for me in spreading His Word! Blessings to you dear one! Bonita is a beautiful name. When I lived in CA I used to eat bonita! It was very tasty & I didn't know it was a type of tuna then, but the price was right & I really liked that also. I wish I could find it here on the East Coast!

Excellent
I may not be a christian, yet I thought this was a good tribute to your faith. I am a firm believer in separation of church and state in a democracy. None the less, as I said this is a very good write. -
Beautifully written piece about the spirit that be. Your words were extremely fitting. Tis only a spaceships bright lights. Nice touch, for the spirit created all and all you see is his handywork. Wonderful and congratulation for the trophy.

intersesting write im not to into that subject though so i have mixed feelings about all that
but good write and good luck -
Awesome
In the truest sense of the word, this poem was awesome: truly demonstrating the love and respect that God should command. This was a stunning piece of work. I loved the rhyme scheme in each stanza, especially. I think my favorite phrase was "Orion intensified." It had its own kind of assonance and felt incredibly powerful. Excellent!

-
It started really hopeful and took a U turn somewhere to be really kind of foreboding (I'm sorry if this is the wrong impression!). Subtle but moving.

Powerful Prophetic Poetry
Ahh sis ... I am so sorry it took me so long to comment on this very vital piece of poetry.
How I long for the day when our Lord and Savior returns for His Children.....
"I dreamed I then moved upon air, I guessed,
soon coming to Jesus' side."
If only our loved ones would heed the signs of the times and return to their first love.
My heart cries rivers of tears for those still lost and wandering like an errant star so ouy of sync with God's creation.
Love and hugs,

Oh, thank you so much, Sis! I'm so surprised that this piece earned the gold; yet, as you say, it is that time when everyone needs to heed the signs, for the time is so incredibly short: I'm seeing and feeling it more and more every day, especially with all that is surrounding me and attacking me in the last year and a half. . . and it just seems to worsen, as Jesus said it would.
Again, thank you so much for the encouragement and the gold!
Hopefully, there will be others who take in to their hearts and minds the critical message.
Much love and hugs, SisBon

Excellent write here
I try to help the young know never to lose the love within to help it shine for all to see and in doing so be loved for eternity.

-
Thank you so much, hon, for the encouraging words.
By the way, I will take another look at your submission. I'm sure it is just fine!

Well! This should be a song or a very good sermon..lol.

Lots of visuals and epistles pouring out of this.
We forget the law that binds us as a society and the law of love that frees us from its demise.
Albeit some of the punctuation (let it ~fly~), this is another good and artful poem by a lover of our Lord!
Thank you

as from me

LOL!
Thank you so much, Cookie, for the encouraging words. A song, huh? LOL! That sounds like something my son, the musician would say. Or a sermon? Hmmm? Yep, might work. LOL!
Lots of love and hugs, BonnieQ

Beautiful
I cannot find words...... majestic? God Bless you too Bonnie.
Your poem is wonderful. it is quietly powerful, poetically moving and spiritually inspired.
Love in our Lord and Savior,
Annette

Oh, wow, Annette, I didn't think it that good. LOL! But, then just praising our Lord is always good enough for Him and that's all that matters to me. Still, thank you so much for such great encouragement.
Lots of love and hugs, BonnieQ
