Jamie, please don't weep
as you lie in your hospital bed
I am here, baby girl, holding your hand
please, don't go away
She opens her drugged, benumbed eyes
giving me a million watt smile
telling me wearily all along
that the angels pulled her through
She informs me she has a message
for me from the beyond
she tells me that she was told by someone
that, "Amanda, you ARE loved!"
I felt my heart grow wings
and I soared above the sorrow
the astringent hospital room
and thanked our God above us
that my sissy was safe and sound
tears of joy run down my smiling face
