My Brother, My Friend

On a warm September evening way back in '89
There happened a miracle so wonderful and divine.
In a little tiny hospital in a small Kansas town
A baby boy was born to a family named "Brown."
The mother and father were shining with pride
But the sister had a special gleam in her eye.
She had waited for this day and it had finally come
She had a brother and her parent a son.
Oh, the things they would do and share
They would become a wonderful and inseparable pair
As the years passed on, their friendship grew
And their love as brother and sister did too!
She would always there for him to lend a helping hand
And forever by his side she would stand.
He was her strength when she was weak
Always there to pull her to her feet.
No matter the trials and triumphs they'd endure
Their love and friendship was soundly secure.
They may not see eye to eye in everything
But even in discord there can be harmony
For all the times I was alone, afraid and in despair
I could count on you to stand by me and be there
We've gone through it all, the thick and the thin
And you stuck by my side, my brother, my friend
So brother, I wrote this poem with love and dedicate it to you
Because brothers like you are very far and few.

Author notes

For my dear brother who has always been an encouragement and uplifted me in my dark times. With out him I wouldn't be who I am today. He's been more than my brother. He's been my friend, my partner in crime, the smile on my face, the one who keeps me going. I love you baby bro!

Wow. I couldn't have said it any better. My brother is a particular blessing in my life as well, even though he is older. I'm not so entirely sure about my sister being a blessing or a trial, but oh well. I would definately not change anything in this write. Wonderful job! I love it!
