The Forage

Foraged for love as a child-
Like treasured bits of rare candy
love came to me.
At age twelve, as
though standing alone at a precipice-
a world of hate pressing from behind-
no where to go-
I reached for the tabernacle in my church
where the living bread of Christ dwells.
Though frightened at my nerve yet, desperate,

I wrapped my arms around.
In a moment I found myself enveloped

in white conscientiousness
The Holy Spirit winged me over my despair
to a reality above and beyond.
I felt the sacred upper chambers of my heart
as new wisdom flowed within.
I discovered the root of all love
is not of this world.

    Excelent

I know you're passion for the spiritual and nowhere else have I seen a testament to it as lovely and rewarding as this one. So personal, but a lesson to those standing at that precipice and being nudged over the edge by so many forces.

Super, touching and heartfelt. Bless you Mary for giving me something to ponder all these years. Miss you.

Love is all we want, and need; children most desperately need to be loved, and adults can fail to fill that need. This is a remarkable story of finding the source that never fails. Wonderful.

    excellent

True love is only found in Christ as indicated by this excellent piece. If only everyone could find as you "I discovered the root of all love is not of this world."
