biting lip. I think you gave me a very
quirky, real, love note. Now....I am about
    to laugh

Thank you soooo much for this one, Peter.

Gosh, I just read the other day (oh four maybe five months ago) where something along this very line happened... a florist sent a copy of a receipt to a home (bearing the nice romantic inscription) and, of course, the wife read it and realized that she had never received such a bouquet! DOH!!! The husband, thoroughly embarrassed, tried to sue the florist for damages... never heard how that one turned out. If anyone also remembers that and knows the outcome, feel free to drop a line. Anyway, nice encapsulation here of what is probably an all too common situation.

lol... when i read it i thought it was gonna b summat bout a bondage prostitute lmao... but it was funny anyway... still... when it comes to romance i dont think theres any cost involved... my husband brings me feathers, rocks, things hes found in lifeline bins and they mean more to me than anything he could have bought. a great write. a good entry for the contest,
    hugs,
    georgie,
    xxx

The way this one begins, and then takes a sudden turn and then almost a flyover in the ending two... quite drags the reader in...

However, sounded a bit funny to me... A bit uncultured as per our perspective.

All the best in the contest.
    Thanks for sharing.

I clicked on the title thinking it may be B & D - but almost as good!

Nice, terse, funny - and all too true. I hope you drove somewhere, didn't stay in the parking lot.

I liked the impersonal 'the wife' rather than 'my wife' - great showing of distance.
