The purity of your light
came melting to my eyes
I wished the night to stay
And day to never rise.
Ah! you were so alone
I wanted to know why
If only I had wings
If only I could fly.
I felt our souls were one
Now your pain was mine
Somehow I can't find words
That suffering was divine.
But alas came dawn
You faded in the sky
I begged you not to go
You vanished with a sigh.
You tied my thoughts to you
And took away my heart
But our love is deeper
For distance to depart.

I can see you looking up at the moon, pondering these thoughts, these desires. It's bitter-sweet, with flourishes of beauty, yet sadness, and in its way, it expresses deeper thoughts. I'm glad you were inspired by the pictures
