.
Smoke dances above hissing flesh,
over embers glowing from fire fresh.
Skin bubbles and spits hot burnt fat,
knarled about where hairs once sat.
More slices from my sharpest knife,
neat slivers red which once held life.
Ashen bones slowly turn dull black,
in the carcass I again cut and hack.
An audience stares in growing glee,
a craving hunger for that soon to be.
Saliva drips off anxious longing lips,
ready for a climax now tightly grips.
‘Come an’ get it’ and all surge ahead,
I grab a slice of onion stacked bread,
flick the juiciest steak straight on top,
that lands with a mouth watering flop.
For outdoor BBQ’s are my specialty,
Aussie beef cooked soft and lovingly.
Cooked fast, not long like Irish stew,
downed with lotsa home-made brew.

I will be right there. You made my mouth water for some juicy steak. I love BBQ's. Sounds like you have found the good life over there. Would love to share a beer or two with you. Take care Brother Bazza. Hugs and Smiles.

I never thought I would ..... but ...... I like COLD beer
There is nuthin like it mate .......... especially with a good home made brew. Ya don't know how lucky ya are over there ... it is impossible to keep a beer cold here in Bangkok without putting ice cubes in it, but at least I give back the straw they always give with it. Fair dinkum, ridgy didge.

From the land of thongs
Stubbie cooler !!! that's the answer but you can't buy them over here ....... I still hate ice cubes in me beer but it is better than drinking it like the poms do .................
Mate the thong bit is OK ... EVERYONE wears thongs here (except some sheilas who like high heels) I was watching a welder squat on a beam on a roof he was welding up, in rain where vereything was slippery, leaning over the front, electric welding, with welding glasses on ..... don't use helmets here ........... in thongs .....honest !!!
