Watching you walk away,
With heartwrenched feelings
Stuck in my throat,
Left my soul in shambles.
My mind looks like my bedroom floor,
Clothes tossed and scattered across the carpet.
I can't stop thinking about the itching in my side.
You're memories are creeping through my veins,
Tearing apart my narrow capillaries.
It only seems like yesterday
Like you were shipwrecked here in my arms.
I stand aimlessly outside in the chilly night
Feeling insecure, overtaken with an undeniable hole
Deep within my gundowned heart.
The wind ices over each tiny bullethole
You shot through my heart,
And even still I stand in the calling breeze.
I know last March we crumbled apart,
Fell in an avalanche of mistakes.
The common misconception that I thought,
With a dumbfounded look splattered on my face,
That I meant something to you.
And each night at eleven eleven,
I'd wish for my whispered dreams to come true.
The stars would laugh and giggle at me,
Passing my dreams by without a single glance.
But that one night in January, they gave me everything.
Even after my ungraceful fall from Heaven,
I know that that one night,
That one dream,
The stars granted me
Everything...
And for that one night...
I know..
That you loved me...
