Golden Hands

She has hands a soft as an angles touch
Her life has been riddled in pain; her caring has been her clutch
Every time life gets good; something else sticks in the knife

Indulgence in making people smile makes her glow
Seeing their confidence and self esteem grow

Being the one to be there for the vulnerable adults
Every-time; she feels much needed results
Innocent but been caused ever so much torment
Never giving up because she has always had to be there for her mum
Going through everything from such an early age

Keeping up with the insanity of no sleep
Every-time the ambulance was at the door
Peeking at the future at what she wanted to be
Taking on board of a career that was in store

Acts of grace; she looks pain in the face
Long-suffering she ensures to try to erase
Invigorating at being there for friends who really cannot cope
Very keen to show them hope
Every day will be a battle; which hopefully she'll help rattle

Being there to be one to confide in
Yearning to make her own pain fade into the background

Charity boxes filled with penny's every-time she comes out of the shop
Agreeableness to attempt to keep the peace atop
Rewarding feelings; every-time she cleans and dresses them smartly
Independence she pushes at them
Never ripping their dignity apart; as for this she does not condemn
Generosity to people in the street that beg for money

(instead she buys them a sandwich or a coffee)

my mum used to do that! she bought a man some chips once because he asked for a few pennies. when she offered him the bag, he was so grateful. he thought she was just offering him the one chip! that brought back a memory. we sat on the bench while we ate ours, and watched what he did next. he shuved them in his pocket, managed to get some change from someone else, and bought a cup of hot tea to go with it hahaha

sorry, that is completely off topic haha

i can see this is very personal, and i can guess you were in pain writing this. has the feel of someone in pain, you wrote it with soul

    nice job, keep penning xxx

  • I love your ending, I do that myself.

It takes a very strong compassionate person to be a carer no matter what there reasons are, unfortunatly carers get so little recognition.

Thank you for entering this and best wishes x

    Yes, different for you.
I likes this one. Talking about a she that isn't.
A 'she' everyone needs to be.

Great write here, and hopeful in that everyone can find a piece of themselves in here- and hold on to that goodness long enough to carry it on.
