If Edward ever knew how much the pain had hurt,
How deep the absence had cut me,
Like a ragged dagger shoved roughly into my stomach,
He would stop at nothing to make it better,
But the only real remedy was him,
Having him there didn't completely heal the wound,
But at least his presence closed it for a while,
And then opened again when he left to hunt,
The overwhelming feeling of abandonment would seep though me,
Like a fog descending through a clear night,
And the moon just barely visible in the horizon,
The thought that he would never return haunted me,
I was terrified when he left to hunt,
The memories brought back,
Even after I tried to bury them,
But I would never let him know the truth,
He would be too afraid to leave,
Even for a second,
So each time i put on a fake smile and tell him I can't wait till his return...
