she washes up her
dirty face
again she cries
for him she dies
her body without
embrace
she sleeps inside her
filthy mind
a little girl
who sold her world
for a second to be
in his
love light deep
smile on sunshine
you are forever
we are forever
live long keep
faith inside your window
you are forever
we are forever
streets lined
with paper hearts
they cry for her
reach out to her
stop her before she starts
she drowns herself
in it
cocaine stains
and water drains
ripping hearts apart
she cried for the moon and
she won her face in the dirt
and her son would only get hurt
by her crimes.
for you there is no more
for you death is a door
the ghosts weep
behind her eyes
the shadow's loss
of light has tossed
her aside for her
morphine
they keep her until
she dies
her son is free
but now he sees
the ghost that
he called mommy
love light deep
smile on sunshine
you are forever
we are forever
live long keep
faith inside your window
you are forever
we are forevermore
forever more

Drugs are so sad especially when there are children involved. You touched on a very important subject. Neglected children as a result of mom's drug abuse. Wow this is an amazing poem thank you for sharing it with us!!!
