How strange to see you in his arms,
To wonder every time you kiss.
How strange these things, that I once knew,
Do not provoke my heart to miss
The one with whom I knew these things.
How strange to find such happiness
In seeing you with what I want.
How strange to find our roles exchanged,
And if I may be very blunt;
Far better than they were before!
How strange these things I knew so well
Look foreign from this different view.
Estranged from love, perhaps its strange
To these scarred eyes I'm looking through?
Or is it strange because it's true?

I thought this was brilliant. It has sadness in it and so much depth and emotion. Loved this.

I'm afraid I don't have the pretty words that some poets have at hand to describe your work, so I'll say things the best way I know how...blunt and direct.
I like it.

Outstanding
This is poignant and full of sadness. It can seem weird to see an old flame in the arms of someone else. I thought this poem had a lot of depth to it and I liked the repetition of the word strange -each time with a different meaning. The flow was excellent throughout.

This one is quite strong. I like the subtle rhymes... and as always with you, a nice strong ending. I realize that the repetition of the word "strange" is part of the effect of the poem, but the only thing I would change is the 3rd last line, where "strange" is present twice in the same line. Maybe that was completely intentional, but it stood out among all the other more natural uses of the word. The real sadness of this piece almost sneaks in under the perplexed mood of the whole thing. Great stuff.

I'm going to cry. That was really, good. I'm bookmarking this one.
