Here I am alone
Standing on the shore
Staring at the clouds
racing in to wreak destruction.
The winds cut across my face
And into the heart
A chill climbs down my spine
to my clenched fists.
Chorus:
So let the rain fall
Knock me down on my face
I'm tired of being strong
lying that everything's okay.
Free the droplets from my eyes
let my heart break
For the rainbow cannot arise
till the storm passes by.
My body is weak
and not my own
Lord take my heart
hold it in Yur own.
During the zenith of the storm
I'll find Your search light
Paralyzed in pain
You'll carry me home.
Bridge:
There's beauty in the brokeness
Life in the death
Healing through the bleeding
Jesus carry me home.

I found this very cliche. The metaphor might've worked if you were more stronger, and explored and factored it a little more into the situation and emotion of the right.
It would make a good song, I think. A good worship one at that.
But, I don't think the imagery is anywheres near strong enough for what I was looking for in this contest.
Thanks for the entry.
