Ergo My Soul

Oh, God,
sustain my soul
veiled in this
velvet suit of darkness
wherein, Faith, Hope and Love,
gleam You, my Father’s eye.

Nourish me poor in spirit where,
only in You I find pleasure.
Let not my senses,
untill they rest in You,
be satisfied.

Ergo
my soul,
Your cause,
in this egg of life
for which I may finally and
gloriously emerge
from umbra
forever
into Your
Eternal
Light.

Very nice. I don't usually like center-aligned poems, but it works in this case, I think. I love how it stays in shadow the whole way through until the last word. Yet, there is mention of a gleam inside. Kind of like the inner gleam moves out, as the outer (God's) light moves in, until the two meet in the middle. Like what I read in a poem by Kabir, 'The Simple Purification':

    ...

Take a pitcher full of water and set it down on the water -
now it has water inside and water outside.
We mustn't give it a name, lest silly people start talking
again about the body and the soul.

    ...

    God's Leading

It feels to me as if God has asserted Himself into giving you peace of mind.  "God's all let me lead now sweet bee saw " First stanza to me you feel thankful for that His way is in up down all around your life  your life. Second stanza for me feels like you needed His satisfaction and so does every one else. 3rd stanza for me feels to me that your excited seeing The God that Leads you to satisfaction leading the whole world to their dreams and wishes individuallisticly individualistic, and always more then they could have imagined as well as He has done for you. And I think the back tone of your excitement was driven by the new sensation that might emerge If enough of the world was satisfied like you there would be no give or take left only must of received and gone with it. Knowing that God will satisfy you as you endure where he gives you whats needed for those around you and instinctively you believe in yourself through the Holy Spirit with purpose and love divine He makes you incumbent naturally bumps you up you ecclesiastical benefice for you listen to your heart.=p

this would sound awesome in an operetta, lovely words
    Sir William
