Hans Christian Andersen said,
"when words fail, music speaks"
I say, "plug your ears Hans,
your quote needs a few tweaks"
sometimes the right album
or radio station isn't enough
and you have no choice
but to use language that's rough
in times of utter disgust
or anger has been allowed to accrue
Hans, that's when normal words fail
but you still have 'Fuck Me" and 'Fuck You'

Intersting.. i feel as though this is a very strong piece although short. It gets your point across that quotes aren't always right in everyones eyes. HAts off and congratulations on winning the gold in the contest =]

Genius.
I love this. This is brilliant. You've taken an entirely different spin on this contest to all of the poets I've read so far. I don't think I can say it enough, I love this poem.
Just as an aside, thank you for the warning about the bad language.
For the rest of the entries, I've tried to leave detailed comments about what I like and what I don't. This is going to be a short one, as I love this. One comment, though, "or anger has been allowed to accrue" is the one line that seems to stick. It breaks your flow, though only slightly.
Once again, this is brilliant. Thank you for entering it into my contest.
