Mists.

Missing image

Mists of deep entrapment
worship at her feet
with songs of no tomorrows
rhapsody complete.

Trapped inside those graveyard swirls
bodies walk alone
searching for a life now lost
naked and unknown.

Dressed in black abandonment
she watches without care
with eyes that never sleep
in a dark eternal stare.

Beware the mists, beware her eyes
deny her lullaby
or you will taste the darkness
in mists of your goodbye.

I think the two last stanzas are the most powerful ones in this poem. Your words describe exactly what I have in mind when I look at this picture. The "eyes that never sleep" part sounds almost creepy.. makes me wonder if she ever gets tired of standing there, awake.
Your poem makes this woman seem like a threat to all souls with her mists and I like that. Very dark, indeed!

    Thanks for entering my contest!
    Blessings,
