Every time I look over my shoulder,
I see someone with gray eyes and a stare of steel...
I try my hardest to go in the opposite direction,
I wonder if this pressense is real.
My own dark eyes wander the area:
These brick houses and streets of cobblestone...
My footsteps are quiet, a light tapping of sorts,
and I highly doubt that I am alone.
I shove my hands in my coat pockets
and glance over my shoulder again and again,
all the while you look back at me,
I wonder, are you foe or friend?
When I slow down, you slow down,
When I pick up my pace, you pick up your pace:
Are you really sure you want to chase me
in this sick and twisted race?
Do you know where I'm going,
where we'll be in the very end?
When this road comes to its final close
will you linger or comprehend
the challenges that might await you
at the end of all these trails...
Will you succeed in this following me
or will you horribly fail?
This depends on what you do,
Your decisions on this single day...
If you dare follow me on my own little path,
or choose to walk away.
