that one shot at significance
before my heart drowned
upon the alter of dismissal,
cast unwillingly to misery
feelings perish untimely,
and a soul is banished
because it loved,
if salvation has a face
it would be your reflection
greeting a new dawn
delivering redemption granted,
and though I seek,
there is no face before me,
chance seems submerged
in unanswered prayers.

if salvation has a face
it would be your reflection
greeting a new dawn
delivering redemption granted,
