I laced my hands
since they do this and that
while
I expect to do that and this
they serve to this world
and I crave for that world
which belongs to you
so tolerate me
if I am not operating the grant
which you commended me
Oh God...
Author notes
Well..Very soon in our life, we do lose the interest in getting the
various magnetic tasks, beautiful achievements just because they prove a painful result after their effects..And then they become very aimless points..And we are diverted to the other world..And that is the world of spirituality which reduces our pain.

Great piece! I do grow weary of your "Oh God" because I believe that repition in more than one poem unless it is a collection, is a little tiring, but I do like the piece! I love the part about the hands being laced. Nifty! Thanks again!

OK, this one I really liked! Deep thoughts and well written verse They also serve who only stand and wait

I love how this sounded like a prayer Sir
I laced my hands
since they do this and that
while
I expect to do that and this
I love how 'this and that' interchanges
the enumerable things we do using our hands
how you viewed our hands as a gift and laced
them...
Thank you for sharing your talent

What ties thy hands?...I ask myself for I never counted the great number of movements they make. Is it I that controlled these hands and why do I suddenly feel saddened they were guided by me instead of by thee who granted me such healing gifts. Did thy tongue run rampid over the stillness and if I were simply quiet might I have heard what to do with thy hands? Ah, such warmth you shed - the light of reflection, thank you for the spiritual invitation.

Another delightful and insightful piece...
Another delightful and insightful piece; this reminds me of some lyrics by the Christian music group "MercyMe" - specifically the line:
"I'm caught between the way I am and the way I want to be." (Sorry, I'm not sure which song.)
I also do believe that "the world of spirituality which reduces our pain" when we're proceeding in God's will for our lives.

Our corporal body serves the needs of this world, while our spirit is drawn further on...this is my take on your words, my friend. The idea of laced hands is, for me, a posture of prayer, but this image here somehow gives me the idea of imprisonment, not a willingness to service...I love the poetry, it stands on its own without image enhancement. Best wishes in the contest. Peace always, Rhonda

"I laced my hands
since they do this and that
while
I expect to do that and this"
Very cute Expression
Yes indeed, we all get the opportunity to choose a direction. If and when we beat our heads against the wall long enough to say, "This hurts!" will we, as you say, feel the need to "lace our hands," etc.
Very nice,

words of wisdom,
temporal wants and needs often lead away from the Divine, our inner knowing is drawn to the Divine, creates a conflict.

God bless you my friend...
