Night's Watch

Missing image
She lights the night sky most glorious
over darkness she's victorious,
lighting the way to those in doubt
her beaming smile glows all about.

Blessing those asleep within
in dreams her tunes, soft violins,
these golden rays a priceless gift
waylaying souls that sway adrift.

For though we're safe within these walls
at times the voice of evil calls,
but constancy of moon's regard
at night is perpetually on guard.

Looking down she spreads her peace
a shining light that will not cease,
with radiance the spirit soars
opening doors where light will pour.

I read this poem few times, and each time I got a peaceful feeling from it. Your verses are lovely, with a very pleasant cadence, the images are bright and you also have very good rhymes.
I so enjoyed how you saw the moon there. Thank you for this lovely poem

Beautiful, I love the idea that the moon is the protector of all, very well written with that trademark outstanding rhyme. Best to you in the contest
