This poem seems to represent life's frustrations and the hot feelings we experience when things change and do not go our way. YAY for your smart poem!

I believe that its saying everytime you find a good memory of your younger days, people around you criticize you, and you lose your thoughts

you are looking for something, the seagulls imply you are at the beach and the "fiery furnace" is a reference to the sun.

so you are at the beach searching for seashells, or trying to scope out sunbathers in their swimsuits.

Wow, it's certain to mean nothing.
    I'm quite confused.
