I Googled myself
just to make sure i'm valid.
I came up with "no results".
My face went palid.
If i'm not listed,
am I in limbo?
Am I a woman with credentials
or, just a bimbo?
Maybe i'll check one more time.
It must be a mistake.
Will it alter my life or
i'll jump in the lake!

hehehehe I can really see someone doing just this... to be honest I have googled myself. Surprisingly I am on there... since I have been published in several fanzines sold on line... I found my own name... so yeah I can relate to this.

I am pleased to have read this very humorous poem. But I see the underlying message- people place so much trust in technology these days that it sets the standard by which they judge themselves and live their lives.
