Winds are blowing; I sense fear in the air
For what is eminent is only a message away
I tried to hold on; sneak through what I could
But loss is only a heartbeat away
You were good; strong; and I saw what you felt
I lost you.....for I was deviant
I know now; only what distance can tell
I lost all that was; all that could have been
I know now what you possibly could have meant
All through the eyes of the dust storm....

A nice interpretation of the image and what it spoke to you. There is an emotional drain, and acceptance of loss - but one that cannot seem to let go. Thank you for your entry!

Wordless messages sung in the wind carrying truth to the heart that listens... Well done and best of luck.

I'm fascinated by your interpretation
of the prompt.
The idea of the wind as a messenger is interesting and draws on a wealth of familiar images. Makes me think of ill and restless winds. Like the wind has moods.
Well done.
