I don’t know you from anywhere,
But found your comments to be grand,
As I am but a student here,
I’ve found too few who do expand.
I think back on my childhood dear,
So many years and jobs performed,
But fifty years fore landed here,
Where last three years my rhymes transformed.
Two different tours, at different times,
So many countries round the world,
A few regrets, but just sometimes,
Depends on how much wine is swirled.
My Grandson hurt in Middle East,
Recovered near the Hickam Field,
His family here for turkey feast,
Now stationed at Fort Riley healed.
There ups and downs in life’s fast ride,
But everything comes round again
More fun if played, don’t stand aside,
There so much more you can attain.
A lowly student, I proclaim,
Who so appreciates your fret,
Have lots of fun, in dancing rain,Don’t stand in storms and just get wet.

Thanks
We can either cry because we are having bad days
or
enjoy what there is we can find to be happy.
You seem inclined for the latter.

you have so much to be thankful for... and i find it incredibly special that you wrote about this in your write... for it is what brought me such sadness.
I am so glad your grandson is home. I am so thankful for that as i am sure you are more so.
please tell your grandson how proud i am of him and a million thank yous for protecting me and being a part of something so much greater than we could ever truely understand.
i will be over at my neighbors house for turkey day- they were kind enough to invite me over so i wouldnt have to be alone.
this was beautiful form and style and content. i love dancing in the rain- its like dancing in your soul.
I appreciate you more than you could know.
thank you for this.

My pleasure
My Grandson's second child due December 15th. Am I really that old!
I am glad your family is OK and soon to be with you. I have been on both sides and truely find it harder to wait at home than being on the front line.
Glad you like the rain!
Jim
